Two Ways to Get Your Videos
Whether you have a URL from Baseball Savant or want to build one here, we've got you covered.
Option 1: Use a URL from Baseball Savant
Go to Baseball Savant
Navigate to baseballsavant.mlb.com and use their search tools to find the plays you want.
Popular searches:
- • Search for a specific player's home runs
- • Find all strikeouts by a pitcher
- • Look up plays from a specific game or date range
- • Filter by play type (home run, strikeout, hit, etc.)
Copy the Search URL
After you've set up your search filters on Baseball Savant, copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
The URL should look like:
https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_search?hfPT=&hfAB=home%5C.%5C.run&...Don't worry about the long URL - just copy the entire thing!
Paste & Download
Come back to our site, paste the URL into the main input field on your dashboard, and click "Find Videos".
What happens next:
- • We'll search for all available video highlights
- • You can then download individual videos or combine them
- • Choose your broadcast preference (home/away)
- • Add a custom batch name for easy organization
Option 2: Build Your Own Search URL on Our Site
Alternatively, you can construct your Baseball Savant search URL directly on our platform. This gives you fine-grained control without needing to visit the Savant site first for URL generation.
Find & Expand the "Build Search URL" Panel
On your dashboard, look for the "Build Search URL" section. It's typically located below the main URL input field. It might be collapsed by default; simply click on its title or the expand icon to open it.
Select Players
Use the player search fields within the expanded panel to find and select specific batters or pitchers. Start typing a player's name, and suggestions will appear.
Choose Filters with the Parameter Grid
For other filters like season, game type, pitch types, batted ball events, and more, utilize the comprehensive parameter grid. Select your desired options from the dropdowns and checkboxes available in this area.
Review Auto-Generated URL
As you select players and parameters, the corresponding Baseball Savant URL will be automatically constructed and displayed in a special read-only field, usually found within or at the bottom of the builder panel.
Use the Generated URL
Once you're satisfied with your selections and the generated URL, click the "Use This URL" button. This action will send the constructed URL to the main search input field at the top of the dashboard, ready for you to proceed.
After the URL is in the main input field (either by building it or pasting it from Baseball Savant as described in Option 1), the process is the same: click "Find Videos", review the results, and then choose to download individual clips or combine them into a single video.
